Reliance on tools for web development
Back when I was starting out in web development about 10 years ago now I used to rely on Dreamweaver for everything. I more or less understood the principles of how to write html by hand but never did. Then again trying to write table layouts with 5 or more levels of nesting was never easy by hand.
Now I hand code everything I rely on tools like the WebDeveloper and Firebug Firefox extensions and IEs DOM inspector extension to make sense of things when I don't get it 100% right first time.
I guess everyone needs something to give them a helping hand. Even if you can write top quality code by hand every time you need a validator to prove it.
