Thats right we went to ikea yesterday.
We were wondering what to do on Rae's day off. I came up with the idea of going to ikea as its something that every couple should do and we are getting married in less than 6 weeks now.
It wasn't too bad, once we found a carparking spot anyway. Headed straight to the meatball dispenser hall or restraunt as its known. I swear everyone in the place was eating meatballs, the don't need to actually cook anything else. For a change we had our meatballs with pasta and some herby tomato sauce. Far nicer than with chips and beans.
Then it was off to shop. The thing is with Ikea you always go there and think you don't actually want to buy very much but come back with as much as you can carry. We ended up with a knife block, a knife or two, cable trunking, storage boxen, tealights (of course) and some more random crap. All worth having in the end and to be honest great value.
I think the secret of ikeas success is that they actually encourage kids to have fun there. So more parents want to go there and spend money. If you could do simillar things with other sorts of retail you could make a fortune.
