Finally got started on the garden
The vegatable patch,

This took the best part of 2 1/2 hours to dig out.
It will probably be too late to do much for this year but we made a start. I cleared the turf off a patch that will one day become the vegetable patch and Rae made a start at clearing along the hedge for a flower bed.
Its backbreaking work and will be even harder as we go along. Its knee deep in grass and weeds right now so we will need to hack at it with a strimmer rather than use a mower at first.
It feels good to be doing something with my hands that has a visible result too.
