This is brown-nosing but...
I was talking to my boss Leigh the other day and he mentioned a great concept. Creative procrastination. Basically you will do anything to avoid a important task. Eventually you will end up doing something just to avoid doing what you really should be doing. Then you will end up doing something else to avoid doing what you were going to be doing to avoid doing what you should be doing to avoid the first task etc. and so on and so on. Eventually you will totally be unable to remeber what you were avoiding in the first place. But at the same time you will have done some eventually interesting things instead. Or you might have spent 2 minutes in every ten checking your email. Just like in this article.
