Sometimes you can do easy CSS tricks that stun people
On the ingenta connect site we have one class for error messages. It displays differently depending on where it is in the document. This makes programmers lives easier as they do not have to remeber to se a different class for different sorts of error messages.
One of the developers couldnt get his head round this and filed a bug... now sweet it was to explain how things work and just hit "fixed"
